Brys Foster

AFTER

BEFORE

Brys's main goal was to lose weight and be able to fit into his suit so he could attend his Sisters wedding.

Over the last 6 months Brys worked extremely hard with his boxing and water intake. We are now pleased to say that Brys did fit into his suit and is under 99kg. Bry’s Mum informed us she doesn’t remember the last time he was under 100kg. Small little changes/steps can really equal huge outcomes.

Well done Brys and we are looking forward to adapting more healthy changes into your life.

DAVID SORRENSON

David started training in-group sessions with his work mates at CIVIC lifestyles. After 1 year of training David liked the program so much he wanted to increase his weekly sessions to 2 groups and 1 private PT a week.

David is a prime example of living life in a happy and healthy way. His PT sessions consist of exercising with a good intensity (treadmill, circuit work, core stabilizing and boxing). After that, Dave and I will go shopping at his nearest organic store. He will be guided to choose his weekly shopping that consists of all healthy elements and foods that help kick start his metabolism.

When we return home, Dave and I plan his weekly meals. Over the last 3 months Dave has lost 5 cm from his waist and has really learnt more about what foods are good for him. This is very important for Dave especially as he suffers from diabetes.

Dave is really influencing his friends at work in a good way by living a healthy lifestyle!

CHRISTIE O’BRIEN

Christie started training 3 years ago and has lost 15kg in that time. Christie is a pleasure to train, as she has a great attitude, loves trying new exercises and has adopted this lifestyle into her daily routines.

Christie’s exercise includes walking/jogging up a 1km hill, boxing, circuit work and stretching.

In the last few months Christie decided she wanted a home gym as she wanted to train every morning with her sister. This has been such a great investment as now Christie is burning more calories then ever before.

As you can see in the photo Christie can work on her back, chest, legs etc. One of the key elements Christie has learnt in the past few years in portioning her meals. Christie didn’t understand a few years ago by even eating healthy foods, she needed to portion her plate. After trial and error with a few dishes Christie now shops and chooses her own healthy foods. After that she will sit down with her sister or trainer and plan her portion sizes for the week.

Christie is also a great advocate on telling her friends just how important water is to her body and mind. Christie’s sleeping pattern has improved dramatically!

Tom MACLAUCHIN

Tom’s goals were to lose body fat %, increase muscle strength and finish the Sydney Spring Cycle, a 15km bike ride in October last year. So far Tom has achieved all of his goals. We are now setting new goals for the upcoming year, including increasing the gym workouts to keep challenging Tom.

Tom has really come along way this year not only in his fitness but his confidence as well. The main goal was to practice his bike riding so we could work up towards and have the confidence to take on the Sydney Spring Cycle challenge. Tom was outstanding as there were more than 40,000 people participating. Tom conducted his way in a professional manner and had the confidence to overtake or change lanes when needed.

Tom has also made positive changes to his nutrition habits. He has been educated on the importance of a balanced diet and is learning to cook and prepare his meals independently.

Tom’s attitude towards training is excellent. He is always compliant and willing to try new exercises. Tom’s new goals are to take on the more challenging 44km Spring bike ride next year.

William Chen

William has Cerebral Palsy and his main goals were to increase overall strength and develop a higher range of movement throughout his body.

William has been training with us for over 6 months now and has reached new heights with his fitness, strength & coordination.  When William first started he became very fatigued.

For example:

• Could only last 5 minutes on the recumbent bike

• Lift 2kg on the lat pull down, chest press and
   resistance band

• Averaged 7 catches with a volleyball in 1 minute

• Found it difficult to walk up & down hills

Now William can:

• Last 30 minutes plus on the recumbent

   bike on level 4

• Lift 5kg on all machines plus has

   increased his sets

• Now averages 21 catches with a volleyball

in 1 minute (He loves this game)

• Now has much more control walking up &

down hills. This is great for William when

he goes out on community access doing

   the things he loves

William is a big reason why we love our job. He has the best attitude and always smiles week in – week out.

It makes us happy and proud as trainers to see William become stronger & fitter so he can do the things he loves in life without struggle. We found being consistent and always having fun in our sessions made this possible.
